about

From Sooj:
Fans have asked me for a version of this playlist for a while, so I thought of the songs of mine that parents have told me their little ones love best, no matter how wacky or creepy, and I put it together for everyone to (hopefully) enjoy. Included here are old friends and new surprises of all sorts. I hope they give you reason to dance, no matter how young or young at heart you are.
If this goes over well, I will keep adding things to it, for easy access to fan-tested kid faves.

The lioness' share of mixing on tracks 5, 6, and 13 was completed by Ginger Doss, for which the artist is eternally grateful. All other tunes mixed by S. J. Tucker at The Pixie House.
Cover photo of the artist as a toddler by Mary Jo Tucker, circa 1982.

This mixtape is dedicated to all kids who sing and dance fearlessly and all adults who give them mental and physical space to do so, and all those who raise the generations after to love and appreciate music. Keep up the good work.
