Composed and recorded for the Ember Days OMPS, "Treachery is Afoot" is an instrumental piece written for a confrontation scene between the two Faery Courts of Summer and Winter: The Summer Queen and her court face assault from an angry, uninvited Winter Queen, who brings the Wild Hunt and her pet fallen angel along in defiance of tradition, to slaughter all in her path, and to take all of the seasons for her own.
From S. J.:
"I chose "Treachery is Afoot" for Witchy Ways, not just for its murder and mayhem factor, but because it's another piece that invokes the Autumn of the year for me. Autumn is Summer's last gasp, when Winter starts to take hold and the balance of power between the seasons is shifting. And you never know what's coming."
